A Day in the life of Ez From Melbz

Hi there,

My name is Lesley, or as the art community knows me as ‘EzFromMelbz’.

I was born in Barnstaple, England and arrived in Melbourne Australia in 1971 as a ten pound pom. These days I reside in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, where I regularly run children’s art classes, and adult paint and sip classes. Alongside running classes I pursue my own painting, drawing, sculpting, and the list goes on. My passion for art has been strong all throughout my life, and in 2006 I decided to undertake a two year diploma in Visual Arts at Homesglen whilst raising my two beautiful daughters.

My artwork is driven by bold and vibrant colours, with a cheeky sense of humour. I am often drawn to objects that may appear to the viewer as mundane and worthless, however, I view the object as having a place in society that illustrates a story that’s worth telling.
